Student Missions

Mississippi BSU encourages students to follow God’s call on their lives and invest themselves in His mission to help the whole world know Jesus Christ.

Students are challenged to see their campus as the first mission field they must reach. BSU also provides opportunities for them to reach out into their local communities doing apartment ministries, nursing home ministries, and various types of service projects. The goal of Mississippi BSU is to place students on mission for life.

For the past 15 years, students from across Mississippi have taken the opportunity of their Christmas break to share the story of the birth of Christ with university students on the other side of the world.

Spring Break

Students travel to places like New York City, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Florida, and Texas to spend spring break sharing Christ and encouraging believers in ministries across the U.S.

Students are mobilized to serve on short-term assignments throughout the U.S. and around the world. The range of opportunities includes church planting, research, ministry to the sexually-broken, homeless, and at-risk, teaching ESL and Job Corps, sports, VBS and kids’ clubs, camps, creative arts, and chaplaincy internships – all with the goal of building relationships, intentionally sharing the Gospel, and making disciples.
