Family Pastor
Principle Function: The family pastor oversees the spiritual growth and development of families with an emphasis upon youth ministry.
Reports to Pastor and Deacons
Youth
• Prepare and teach a Biblical message on Wednesday and Sunday nights.
• Make personal contact with youth and families (Text, call, visit, attending sporting events, etc.)
• Work with youth ministry team and parents to plan events.
• Involve parents and other adults in the implementation of overall ministry.
• Report family prospects to the pastor.
• Be a team player and communicate.
• Oversee and accountability of budgeted expenditures.
• Involve the youth in church activities.
• Plan and implement fundraisers.
• Work with the Neshoba County Baptist association
Children
• Encourage parents and children’s workers in planning and coordinating events.
• Help promotion, communication and advertising of events (social media, remind app, calendar, bulletin, etc)
• resource, equip, and encourage families through planned events and programs through marriage conferences, parenting seminars, etc…
• Work along VBS team
• Support children’s church rotation.
Families
• Visit the hospitalized and minister to the sick (Especially when related to or connected to youth and children)
• Plan and resource events programs to equip and encourage families (Marriage conference, parenting seminar)
