By Antonieta Dufour
My name is Antonieta Dufour. I came here from the Philippines and I have been in the United States for 2 years. I am a widow and I have 3 sons. I live in Petal, MS.
Growing up I never had a family that cared for me or provided for me. Christian Women’s Job Corps took me in; the women here have been like a family to me. I especially enjoyed our time in Bible study. I have always believed in God but just recently became a Christian. I was thrilled to find out God wanted me in His family. God cares for me now and He is my provider. Now I am a Princess!!!
I have learned many new skills that have helped me to become confident and independent. I have also learned how to communicate with other people. I know God has a purpose for me and I will follow Him. I am so blessed to be a part of CWJC.
I have made many friends and have had the opportunity to share intimate details of my life. One of my goals is to become more self-sufficient.
Thank you to all my teachers and encouragers for helping me to reach my goal. My other goal is to continue with my GED test and to have a job again.
Thank you and God bless you all.
