Church Preparedness for Disaster

Learn how your church can prepare for disaster Link to DOC filedoc by developing a strategy to minister to your community during crisis through preparing your facilities, training your members, securing supplies, and developing protocols that will activate your disaster response plan.

2010 Regional Volunteer Training Events

2010 brings changes in the way Mississippi Baptists train for disasters. In 2010, trainings will be offered in various regions across the state, bringing training closer to more churches than ever. Listed below is the schedule and list of trainings we will offer:

8:00 a.m. Registration
8:15 a.m. Involving Southern Baptists in Disaster Relief (all new volunteers are required to attend)
9:00 a.m. Specialized training
Chainsaw - 7 hours
Chaplaincy - 7 hours
Feeding - 7 hours
Childcare - 7 hours
Blue Cap/Incident Command - 6 hours
Mud Out/Blue Tarp/Shower Trailer - 4 hours
Noon Lunch
4:30 p.m. Dismiss
