The Mississippi Baptist Chaplains’ Association relates to persons serving pastoral care roles in hospitals and health care facilities, industries, correctional facilities, military, rehabilitation, public safety, and other institutions. The Association is set up to afford members an opportunity for professional growth, communication and fellowship.
Chaplains who serve in positions both volunteer and compensated, or who served in such positions at the time of their retirement, are invited to join by paying the current dues of $25.00 per year and attending events scheduled. Chaplains can join the Association at any scheduled event.
MS Baptist Chaplaincy Association members are professional or volunteer chaplains who:
Endorsement by the Chaplaincy Division of the North American Mission Board, SBC is encouraged.
Members are eligible to vote and attend the winter retreat and fall banquet free of charge. Members’ spouses are associate members. While they do not have voting rights, they are welcome guests at the retreat and fall banquet. Membership runs from October 1 to September 30 of each year. Membership fees are due annually.

NAMB Regional Chaplaincy Training Conferences
On March 4-5, 2011, the Mississippi Baptist Chaplains’ Association met at Patterson Place at Garaywa Camp and Conference Center for their annual Spring Retreat. Following dinner and fellowship, the group was treated to bluegrass music, testimony, and stories by the Rowzees. Dr. Wayne VanHorn, Dean of the School of Christian Studies and the Arts and a professor in the Department of Christian Studies and Philosophy, served as Retreat Leader.
