State Meetings and Events
This has been our largest meeting attracting more than 1,000 students from campuses and churches. It is designed to be a time of
inspiration and challenge as collegians begin the new school year. The meeting is generally held in September. You are invited to bring
students from your church to the meeting. Contact the Collegiate Ministry Department for information
and promotional materials. The meeting has been held in churches or convention centers in recent years. Be sure to pre-register.
State BSU Retreat
This meeting designed for African-American students is an exciting and challenging weekend. BSU choirs, seminars and other special
features help make this a well attended student retreat among black collegians. For more information on
State BSU Retreat, contact the Collegiate Ministry
Department. The meeting is generally held at Camp Garaywa in Clinton.
Held this year at Mississippi College, this meeting is an exciting time of orientation and commissioning for newly elected campus
leaders, as well as Summer Missionaries. Previously, this meeting has enjoyed the distinction of being the largest Mississippi
Baptist-sponsored meeting to take place each year at Gulfshore Assembly with more than 600 in attendance. A highlight of
Leadership Training Conference has been the Saturday night commissioning of summer missionaries
and elected leaders where more than 900 are in attendance! Summer missionaries applying from Mississippi Baptist churches are encouraged to
attend.
