Operation Jumpstart - Church Growth Weekends
Sponsored by the Pastor/Leadership Development Department of the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board and the Baptist Convention of
Maryland and Delaware.
Purpose:
To jumpstart some dead/plateaued churches; to bring excitement to a church’s ministry; to bring focus to a church’s vision; and to
provide training to key leaders so the church can be healthier and grow; to provide direct involvement in MS/MD-DE Partnership.
Information:
A weekend participant agrees to pay his/her own way. Six to seven hundred dollars ($600-700) covers a round-trip ticket (or personal auto
travel), lodging, meals and miscellaneous. Weekend participants arrive on Thursday evening for the Friday orientation (9 a.m.) at their
state office. From Friday evening to Sunday morning you will be at a church assigned by Wayne Harris. A state convention worker or director
of missions from the MD-DE Convention will serve as your team leader. Thursday evening and Sunday afternoon flights, and stay at the nearby
Hampton Inn. If you participate, you will be given the needed materials and be expected to attend the Weekend Orientations at the Baptist Building.
