Deacon Ministry

Our department will sponsor deacon and deacon wives training for your church, association, or agency. Contact Keith Gordon, Deacon Consultant, for more information.

This work continues to be a highlight of our department. Most requests for deacon training come in the areas of spiritual growth, caring skills, church growth, conflict prevention, and partnership in ministry with the pastor and staff. Throughout the year we coordinate dozens of training opportunities and respond to requests for resources to hundreds of local churches, their leaders and associations. Approximately 1,500 persons are involved in deacon ministry and deacon wife training each year.
