Bivocational/Small Church Training

Our department supports and coordinates ministry to bivocational ministers. In 1997 the Mississippi Council on Bivocational Ministries was formed. Fourteen men with great experience in and a passion for bivocationalism serve on this council. The council seeks ways to support and strengthen ministry to our double-duty ministers and the churches they serve.

The Council continually connects and informs church, associational, and convention leaders on the prime importance of bivocational ministry. The council meets immediately after the closing session of the MS Baptist Convention on the last day of October each year. Lunch is compliments of the Pastor/Leadership Development Department. At that meeting the annual June meeting is set.
