“Quiet Place” Ministry

Our department has arranged with our assembly and retreat centers to provide, without cost, three-day lodging for pastors and staff members who experience unusual stress in their ministry. Our Lord often “slipped away to deserted places for prayer” [Luke 5:16]. Your convention wants to provide this for our ministers and their spouses.

Procedures for Participation in This Ministry Are:

1. The minister informs the Associational Director of Missions regarding his need, and dates for which the facilities are requested.
2. The Director of Missions is requested to call our office informing us of the need, and send a letter of recommendation.
3. Our office will contact the retreat centers about available space, and give the name of the minister.
4. Our office will inform the minister of available space, and advise that he call the director of the center to make arrangements.
