Church Library Ministry

Our department coordinates elected CLM state officers training and services for all local churches and associational libraries.

Services:

• Annual State CLM Conference – Each year our department coordinates along with the CLM state officers, a conference for all church library staff (directors, assistants, paid or volunteer, etc.) involved in library work or those beginning a church library. Conferences in nearly every area of library work are conducted. This annual meeting provides training, fellowship, and inspiration to all who attend. A highlight of this meeting is the Friday night banquet where a christian author shares his or her work with a book signing afterwards. The LifeWay Christian Store is on hand with a large display from which to choose materials.

  The next CLM annual meeting will be held October 3-4, 2008, at First Baptist Church in Madison.

• Church Library Ministry Retreat – The next CLM Retreat will be held March 19-21, 2009, at Garaywa Camp and Conference Center in Clinton.
