Garaywa Camp and Conference Center
Garaywa is a year-round retreat center and summer camp ministry located in Clinton Mississippi. It is owned and operated by the Woman’s
Missionary Union of Mississippi. Garaywa provides quality Christian service and facilities for all ages. Only a few minutes from Jackson and
in the city limits of Clinton, Garaywa is truly a retreat in the middle of the suburbs. When you enter the gates of Garaywa and hear the
wind whistling through the moss-laden trees, you know you are in the presence of God’s beautiful creation.
Facilities
Garaywa offers three types of lodging.
Patterson Place is a hotel-type facility with 30
bedrooms, a large conference room, and a kitchen.
- The Guest House has 6 rooms with a total of 28 beds.
- Garaywa’s 19 cabins offer a more rustic camp setting.
Conference Rooms
- Activity Building has a large meeting room with a 300-person capacity and 8 conference rooms.
- Auditorium Building has a chapel with seating for 250 and a small reception room.
Dining Hall
- The main dining room seats 300.
- Two smaller dining rooms seat 40 each.

- Vesper Area

- Large gazebo
- Campfire area
- Prayer garden
- Two picnic areas
RECREATION
- Ropes Course
- Swimming pool with basketball goal and two slides
- Nature trails
Events
Events are held at Garaywa all year long. They are booked by church groups, the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board, and Christian organizations.
