About Us
The associate executive director – business services is responsible to the executive director-treasurer in all matters assigned with
particular emphases in the areas of accounting, annuity, audits, communications, disaster relief, encampments, finance, insurance, legal
issues, policy matters, personnel issues, and the management of all real and personal property. All work in this division is directed toward
providing services/resources to churches as well as to Convention Board personnel.

Financial Services is responsible for all financial and accounting functions of the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board (MBCB). This
office consolidates requests from the different departments of the MBCB, the institutions and agencies, and prepares the proposed convention
budget as directed by the budget committee. This department also has the responsibility for church annuity, computer operations, and
personnel services.
The Baptist Record is the official publication of the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board. The Baptist Record is
responsible for communicating Baptist and world religious news, dissemination of Baptist doctrines, the creation of goodwill toward the
denomination, and the promotion of the work of the Convention and Convention Board.
The Building Maintenance section has the responsibility for all maintenance and housekeeping work in the Baptist Building.
Camp GARAYWA is centrally located in Clinton, MS. Direct supervision of the operations of Camp GARAYWA is administered by the Woman’s
Missionary Union of the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board. A full ministry report may be found in the

Central Hills Baptist Retreat is conveniently located in Kosciusko, MS. The director of the Men’s Ministry department performs direct
supervision of the operations of Central Hills. A full ministry report may be found in the Men’s Ministry

Communication Services is responsible for the development and coordination of Church Media Library activities, Mississippi Baptists in
Broadcasting, video tape/dvd service, FamilyNet, graphic design, printshop functions, web site maintenance, as well as all video and audio
productions for the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board.
Due to the damage caused by Hurricane Katrina, the 2006 events originally scheduled to take place at Gulfshore Baptist Assembly in
Henderson Point were relocated to various venues across the state. An account of praises and participation related to those events may be

The Mail and Building Support Services staff distributes mail within the Baptist Building and picks up and delivers mail to the post
office. Other responsibilities include facility arrangements and switchboard operations.
The Business Services Division also employs a procurement officer to negotiate the purchase of materials and services for the Mississippi
Baptist Convention Board. Our objective is to always be good stewards of the resources entrusted to us as we try to meet the needs of those
we serve.
